ROUTE 7/Pedra Dreta-Salselle

Route characteristics:  family route, rural and bath possibility.
Cycle information 100% rural route, 70% dirt, 30% asphalt.

This is the most refreshing route that we have to offer you.
Basically consist of carry out the trail Cami de Les Heures until the Merlès camping, where taking the trail Camí de Salselles, until arriving at Salselles, a small abandoned village in Lluçanès, in the the municipality of Borredà.
This route has two relevant aspects: on the one hand it is a linear route, this means, it is the same itinerary going out and returning, given that the orography of the area is very complicated, starting the route beside the “straight stone” Pedra Dreta, the highest point of the route, to descend the ridge of the Granera until the “Monclús Bridge” Pont de Monclús, already at the River Merlès, where at the return, the bicycles will be collected to return to departure point by vehicle, so in this way avoid the steep ascent going up to the Pedra Dreta. This route, therefore, requires transport of the burricletas to the departure point and the collection at the arrival point.
The descent from the departure point to the Pont de Monclús, allows you to enjoy breathtaking views of both sides of the ridge. Once you reach the River, the bath is a well-deserved award on hot days. From this point on, the route until the Camping is parellel to the River Merlès, allowing the bath at any time in any of the many idyllic places to do so. In the GPS, you will find marked the best access to the River.
From the Camping and following the trail of Salselles, we move away from the river uphill to get to the ruins that are left of Santa Maria de Salselles. This small village of Lluçanès was abandoned between the years 50/60 and since then it has not stopped its degradation in the hands of the harshness and selfishness of the visitors. But preserves all the beauty of the place with the addition of the characteristic nostalgia of abandoned villages.
The return on the same trail, always going down, allowing to reach with agility at the collection point of the Burricletas, the Pont de Monclús.
